I knew already what I wanted to eat. Ya, Chicken Biryani, please! Pak John with his new California car and Rawan - his Palestine's friend, picked me up in front of my office around 6.43 pm. We then went to Prince Cafe at Adams Morgan. It's a middle eastern kind of cafe. Pak John picked that place because they serve Halal food so that I can eat. Perfect! Hannanah, after a loong walk, finally arrived...sweaty and hungry...The rest could not make it. I had tried calling Kathleen but no answer. Samar had to attend another dinner at her university as it was an obligation, otherwise she wont miss mine. Fadi, only God knows where he was. Then, that's very much it. Finally, only four of us could make it - I felt so happy, though because after all I still could celebrate my birthday. It's even more wonderful because of the wonderful and nice companies. We first sat outside at the patio, but after dinner the rain started pouring. We went in and ordered Sheesha with the most typical taste in Sheesha's history - the apple! We joked around and definetely no serious conversation involved. We played some dragon style - release the smoke from the nose. It looked terribly funny and we could not stop laughing :) No Indonesian birthday style this time. They all paid for me :( I felt so weird in a way. Later I found out that it's only Indonesia and Phillipines that have the culture of the birthdayee is the one who should treat the friends, not other way around. Not in this country apparently. Pak John sent everybody home :)
