I just finished praying when my roommates were hiding outside my room. It was a birthday surprise...They gave me a small wheat bread with ice cream on top and four little candles. It was so sweet of them to remember my birthday while I only have been here for less than 2 weeks. I announced my birthday wish out load because I dont believe that my wish will come true if I say it quitely :)
I am 26 now, pretty old, and I wish I will also be wiser and nicer, not only older. I am thanking God and feeling so grateful with whatever I have because I still have my faith in God, wonderful mom, dad, sister and brother, loyal close friends (not one or two, but many), great ex boy friends, good health (eventhough I am coughing a little right now), good education, proper shelter to live in, money to buy Dulce de Leche at Starbucks every morning, passion to make a difference in this world, meaningful experiences, and many more. What else that you want in this world??? Lord, if You decide that 26 is my last year to live, I will not complain and will never regret a single thing you gave me in this life. If there's another way to show my gratitude to You, I will do it. I feel so blessed tonight. Welcome 26 and fill me with your lights as much as 25 did last year.

Oh Rina, 26 is not so bad. My birthday is coming up in July and I am so lucky to be spending it with Declan aka Andrew in Italy! The EastWest Institute is giving him a reprieve for one week, so we are meeting in Milan, Italy. I can't wait. I miss him terribly.
